How it works: When an engine is designed for running in petrol mode, its timing advance curve is selected to optimize the petrol performance of the engine. Alternate fuels such as LPG or CNG have different characteristics of combuston. If these alternative fuels are used without adjusting the timing curve to the particular type of fuel, the engine capability will not be completely exploited. This results in greater (not optimal) fuel consumption and less power delivered by the engine. The only way to optimise the alternate fuel timing curve is by means of a timing advance processor. Timing advance processors are electronic devices which after analizing the original timing curve are able to modify it, thus optimizing the timing curve to the type of fuel used in that particular moment.

Expertise and Manufacturing: "JethroSoft" company has recognized the need for such digital processors and experienced manifacturing in this field. "JethroSoft" has been working on this project for two years now, and its line of products includes a complete range of electronic timing advance processors engineered to fit in almost all vehicle types and models manufactured worldwide. Our timing advance processors are composed of programmable (or preprogrammed) digital microprocessors which are able to process and analyse the original ECU timing curve and then modify it on the basis of optimization data previously stored in its memory.

Fine-Tuning: Some of the device parameters can be easily manually modified during the instalation by means of microswitches. This allows fine-tuning of the processor to the particular engine type, number of cylinders, type of fuel used (LPG or CNG) and also optimization of the timing advance curve during the vehicle decelaration and idle phases.

Efficiency and Flexibility: It is easy to enable or disable the device by a an optional button mounted inside the vehicle. This allows testing and observing the efficiency of the Timing Advance Processor. Installing the device takes about 5-10 min, depending on the vehicle type.

The device enables the engine to give you better performance and power output - about (7-11)%; better ignition timing and as a consequence better and more complete fuel combustion results in (6-10)% better fuel economy.

Requirements: Before adding the "JetSpark", the car engine should be tuned well for petrol. For vehicles with microprocessor control (Fuel Injected Engines), optimal fuel maps are usually preprogrammed in the ECU of the vehicle and assuring good tune-up in advance is normally not a concern.

Installation and Equipment: Cost of the device ranges between $45 and $65 depending on the vehicle type and size of order.
